Professional How It Works

In this scheme the operating methodology of EagleEyeOS™ Professional system can be seen, whereas on one computer an EagleEyeOS™ Server module, on another computer a Control Center and an Agent, and on another five further computers only an Agent had been installed. All over the network EagleEyeOS™ Server module distributes the rules set by the Control Center, that are received by the Agents. Besides its overall logging task, the Agent enforces the rules. Generated log files are sent to EagleEyeOS™ Server module, whereas different types of reports and alerts can be generated.
If an organization has such SQL and/or SYSLOG servers installed, whereon some operating processes had already been developed (e.g.: secure storing, backup, etc.), there is an option to use EagleEyeOS™’s own database and/or third party solutions for generating alerts also. Different types of Agents can be installed on different types of computers, to distinguish the group of hosts, servers and cluster servers from each other.
It is recommended to install Server Agents on file servers, because by using this type of Agent, ALL events will be logged even if there is no user logged in. For Cluster Servers, it is recommended to use EagleEyeOS™ Professional Cluster Agent, as it is developed especially for load balanced cluster solutions.
The software assures to validate the rules for its own operation in the kernel level of the Operating System; it is embedded between the Operating System’s Access Rights Management (ACL) and the File System Drivers. With this type of adaptation, it can be assured that only valid rights can have access to the system, and the protection cannot be by-passed. Network and/or Domain Administrator can become a limited (standard) user, who has access rights within the system that are provided by EagleEyeOS™ system only.
